Are you a technology and IT specialist? 

We’re recruiting for a Senior Technology Project Manager to join us in our Project Delivery team.

About the role

As a Senior Technology Project Manager you’ll play a crucial role as an interface across the British Heart Foundation (BHF) guiding and supporting the organisation through a continued period of change.

The BHF has an ambitious new strategy, aiming to substantially grow its revenue in order to invest over £1bn in research by 2030. The Technology team is an integral partner to help deliver this strategy.

You’ll work with the wider business and senior stakeholders, being responsible for overseeing the management of Technology projects, including planning, organising, staffing, leading, and controlling project and portfolio activities. You’ll also be involved in the delivery of major strategic initiatives for the organisation, as well as managing and supporting a team of Project Managers.

You’ll guide and support a broad variety of projects critical to the success of the organisation and how it utilises technology.

About you

With demonstrable hands on portfolio, programme and project management ability with a strategic mind-set, you’ll have Project Management qualifications in one or both of PRINCE2 and Agile.

You’ll have a strong customer service orientation, as well as a proven track record of successful delivery of major IT projects at an organisational level.

With experience of team management you’ll also have previous experience of managing projects involving a high degree of stakeholder engagement and change.

To be successful in this role you’ll also have the following skills:
Ability to work with staff at all levels up to and including Board level
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, able to liaise and work with non-technical people in a clear manner
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, able to build trust and communicate effectively to people of all different technical abilities
Strong organisational skills, able to handle multiple projects and activities concurrently

Interview process

Interviews will be held via MS Teams.

The British Heart Foundation is currently following Government guidelines regarding working from home. Although the role is based in London, the expectation is that once restrictions are eased, we will follow a blended approach between office and home working.
