Join the fight!

Coronary heart disease is the UK’s single biggest killer. But we’re fighting back. We’re fighting for every heartbeat.

About the role

Would you like a break from the clinical environment? Come and help us make a real difference for those living with cardiovascular (CVD) disease, as well as helping to prevent it in the first place. We work in an office not a hospital but still help heart patients and their families – everyday. This is an excellent opportunity where you will receive full training to acquire new skills and professionally develop in a supportive learning environment, utilising your clinical knowledge and experience in a non-clinical setting.

We’re looking for an experienced Cardiac Nurse to join the fight and be part of our friendly and dynamic Clinical team based at our London head office. This post is full time for one year, but a job share or flexible working can be considered for the right candidate.

About you

As a Senior Cardiac Nurse you’ll be a source of professional knowledge on the causes and management of CVD for all across the British Heart Foundation. You will play a key role in; developing resources for the public, working on public awareness and fundraising campaigns, as well as responding to enquiries from the public and media.

You will be a NMC registered nurse with extensive cardiac nursing experience in secondary and/or primary care. You’ll also have an in-depth knowledge of a wide range of cardiovascular conditions, as well as lifestyle issues relating to coronary heart disease, and share our drive and determination to fight for every heartbeat.

To find out more or to arrange an informal visit and meet our team, please contact Maureen Talbot, Clinical team manager on 020 7554 0358.
