Benefits

Since you're working in one of our offices, are field or home based and you’re helping to beat heart disease for good, we think it's only right we offer you a whole host of benefits.

When do I work?

You’ll be expected to work 35 hours a week, you’ll work 7 hours per day with a start time no later than 10am and an end time no earlier than 4pm, or in our Retail offices a start time no later than 9.30am and an end time no earlier than 4.30pm.

We encourage flexible working arrangements, as long as it suits both parties and you cover the core working hours.

How much holiday do I get?

We’ll give you 30 days off a year, not including bank holidays, which we’ll adjust if you’re part time. In some regional offices and some of our directorates, three or four of those days will be assigned if our offices are closed over Christmas.

What about healthcare?

Once you’ve passed your probation, you can choose two benefits from private healthcare, dental health cover and £325 contribution towards gym membership. After one year with us you can choose the third health benefit.

We’ll pay for an annual eye test, and if you need glasses for VDU work we’ll help pay for them too.

When do I get paid?

We’ll pay your salary each month directly to your account on 23rd of the month, or the Friday before if that falls on a weekend. If you work in one of our Retail offices or in a Retail field role, you’ll be paid on the last day of the month, or the Friday before if that falls on a weekend.

What if something happens to me?

Hopefully we won’t have to worry about that. But in case something does happen, we have an Employee Assistance Programme that offers a range of confidential services designed to help resolve everyday situations that may affect you at home or at work. We’ll also insure you for life cover.

Do you help with the cost of childcare?

We do. You can take advantage of our childcare vouchers if you have child care costs and earn above the minimum salary threshold.

And travel?

You can claim a loan to buy an annual season ticket, which will be deducted from your salary in 12 equal instalments. We also have a cycle to work scheme so you can benefit from a tax saving off a purchase of a new bike.

Will you help me save for the future?

You bet. After you’ve been with us for three months, you’ll qualify for our group personal pension plan, where you pay in a minimum of 3% and we pay in 5%. You can contribute more, which we’ll match up to 10%.
