For millions of shoppers, our retail staff are the face of the British Heart Foundation - from London to Bristol, Leeds to Edinburgh. And we wouldn’t be the UK’s leading charity retailer without them.

Our retail stores employ c3,500 paid staff, supported by around 15,000 retail volunteers who generously gift their time. BHF has over 700 shops and stores across England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland including 520 high-street shops and over 190 Home stores, which this year will sell around 25 million donated items.

This year our shops will save around 74,000 tonnes of donated goods from going to waste across 80 million donated items. Key sales categories are the 1 million units sales of furniture, including 200,000 sofas, and 14,000 tonnes of preloved clothes. Through the reuse and recycling of donated items this helps prevent 135,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions being released into the atmosphere.

When it comes to generating unique stock, maximising its value and building customer loyalty, we put a lot of trust in our retail staff. We encourage entrepreneurialism, creativity and ambition. We’re a commercially minded, highly professional and growing retailer, with a reputation backed up by annual profits in the tens of millions.

So if you’re a retailer with big ideas and a strong work ethic, a career with us could take you to the next level.
