Technology

BHF's Technology team is at the cutting edge of IT and digital solutions, ensuring the seamless operation of our charity. Our graduate schemes are designed to hone your skills and knowledge, transforming you into a technology professional. You'll gain hands-on experience in software engineering, information security, testing, and more, while also exploring other facets of our technology team. If you have a STEM degree and possess excellent problem-solving abilities, project management skills, and a passion for continuous learning, we want you on our team.

Retail

Our Retail team’s innovative graduate scheme will immerse you into the dynamic world of BHF's customer-facing retail operations. You'll support various departments and contribute to projects that enhance our business, including our world-leading charity eBay site. With BHF, you'll witness firsthand the environmental benefits of our work, as we sell and recycle a vast array of donated items, significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions and the demand for natural resources. This scheme is your gateway to a fast-paced retail career, equipping you with the expertise to lead your own team as an Area Manager within just two years.

People and Organisational Development

Our POD graduate scheme offers a unique opportunity to work across different HR and talent teams within one of the UK's largest charities. You won't just be learning theoretically; you'll actively contribute to significant projects and teams, honing your communication, teamwork, leadership, and project management skills. Alongside on-the-job learning, you'll have a BHF mentor and participate in action learning events with fellow graduates.

Marketing, Fundraising & Engagement (MFE) and Medical

This scheme offers comprehensive experience through four six-month placements across various teams and departments with MFE and Medical.

You’ll be responsible for supporting and delivering projects that meet business needs, providing hands-on support, and making a real impact on major national projects. This isn't just theoretical training; graduates will develop key skills such as communication, teamwork, leadership, and project management and can engage in high-profile events.

Finance

Over three years, graduates will rotate through different finance functions, gaining exposure to various aspects of finance, including business partnering with different departments. The program aims to support graduates in qualifying as Associate Chartered Accountants by studying towards the ICAEW qualification, with continuous coaching and learning opportunities.
