Our Technology Vision is to deliver exceptional customer experience, making it easier to grow our income and deliver British Heart Foundation's (BHF) mission. As our Strategic Initiatives Delivery Manager, you’ll play an instrumental role in making that happen.
You’ll be responsible for advancing the Technology strategic projects that span across our directorate. This role will work in collaboration with teams and senior leaders from across the organisation.
Able to creatively solve problems, build relationships and drive change, you’ll be focused on advancing the Technology directorates ability to strategically enable BHF’s ambitions.
This role will focus on a number of strategic initiatives, including:
- Bimodal Delivery Maturity project: The Technology directorate is evolving its approach to expand delivery capability from Waterfall to also include Agile delivery methods, thereby having a bimodal approach in place. This role involves overseeing the project, ensuring workstream leads meet their targets, making progress against the plan, and providing progress updates to the Technology Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
- AI Strategy Roadmap delivery: Supporting the 25/26 AI roadmap as required, particularly in relation to the communication, learning and engagement aspect of the roadmap.
- Onboarding & Recruitment improvements: Current onboarding experience varies across Tech directorate. Aim to consolidate, standardise where it makes sense and ultimately improve the onboard and return to work experience for colleagues in Tech
- Mentoring Tech programme: Currently running internal mentoring scheme. Next stage will be to expand this to include external mentors in the network.
About you
With strong project and programme management knowledge, you’ll have excellent written and presentation skills.
Able to think strategically and use insight to shape enhancements to initiatives across varied contexts, you’ll have experience building and managing relationships, including with leaders and senior managers.
You’ll have previous experience of leading, managing and/or contributing to end-to-end projects and programmes, and will be able to progress projects, activities, and tasks in effective ways.
An effective communicator, you’ll be able to think creatively above and beyond immediate requirements to proactively solve problems.
Working arrangements
Please note this is a 12-month contract, covering family leave.
This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London office.
At BHF we believe in the power of being together, so our colleagues on blended contracts can expect to spend some time in their office, at least one day each week, on average.
