We believe that our employees are our greatest asset. We are committed to fostering a work environment that promotes health, happiness, and overall wellbeing.

BHF has a dedicated wellbeing programme, Live well Work well, which focuses on four pillars of wellbeing:

Physical wellbeing

We understand the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle both for physical and cardiovascular benefits, as well as promoting a fit mind. That's why we offer a range of initiatives to help our employees stay active and healthy:

Mental wellbeing

We want to enable our colleagues to have mental balance and offer tools to support and foster psychological resilience. We encourage open conversations about mental health, ensuring that everyone feels heard and valued. BHF have over 100 Mental Health Ambassadors across the whole organisation, who are mental health first-aid trained.

We also have an Employee Assistant Provider who offer a range of support including counselling and tools on different aspects of psychological health such as stress, resilience and self-care.

Social wellbeing

Building strong relationships with your team and wider colleagues is key to a fulfilling work experience. We offer a range of social outlets so people can connect with each other:

  • Social clubs including book club, softball and netball.
  • Social events and team-building activities.
  • Two days a year to volunteer for BHF at a shop or fundraising event.
  • Equality, Diversity and Inclusion affinity groups where people come together to created shared communities and make tangible actions to promote inclusion.
