  • The opportunity

  • Do you have a track record of leading high-performing teams, growing income and building partnerships that create lasting impact?

At the British Heart Foundation, supporters, volunteers, community groups and corporate partners help fund life-saving research every day. We're looking for an inspiring leader to join our Community Fundraising team and help grow support across the East & West Midlands.

    About the role

As Regional Fundraising Manager – Central England Region,  you'll lead a team of Fundraising Managers responsible for generating around £1.5m of fundraising income across the region. You'll provide leadership, coaching and strategic direction, helping your team grow income and pipeline as well as strengthen supporter relationships and deliver outstanding experiences.

This is a rewarding and fast-paced role where no two days are the same. One day you could be coaching a Fundraising Manager to secure a new corporate partnership, the next meeting key local supporters, analysing regional performance or contributing to a national fundraising campaign.

You'll identify opportunities for growth, develop regional plans and use insight and forecasting to maximise performance. Alongside leading your team, you'll personally manage some of the region's most important relationships, acting as a senior ambassador for BHF with our high value supporters.

As a member of the Community Fundraising Leadership Team, you'll share regional insight, contribute to strategic decision-making and help shape the future direction of Community Fundraising nationally.

    About you

Whether your experience comes from the private, public or third sector, you'll be a proven leader with a strong track record of delivering results through others.

    You'll bring:
    • Experience leading and developing high-performing fundraising, sales, marketing or other target-driven teams.
    • A proven track record of delivering income, revenue or financial targets.
    • Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills, with the confidence to engage stakeholders at all levels and successfully make the ask.
    • Experience managing budgets and interpreting financial information.
    • Strong planning, prioritisation and organisational skills.
    • Experience using data, insight and performance analysis to drive decision-making and results.
    • The ability to build long-term relationships and secure new fundraising or partnership opportunities.
    • Experience managing remote teams, volunteers or volunteer-led activity would be advantageous.
Most importantly, you’ll enjoy developing people, identifying innovative opportunities and building relationships that deliver lasting impact and generate vital funds.

This is a field-based role covering the  East and West Midlands region, including Birmingham, Coventry, Wolverhampton, Leicester, Nottingham, Derby, Lincoln, Northampton, Worcester, Hereford, Shrewsbury and Stafford, as well as surrounding areas and communities.
